Beach Cleaning action
Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, Wales

Our friends at Sea Shepherd UK found batch 2, which was transformed in our solar-powered workshop in Bristol.

Our recycled plant pots and ocean plastic products are made from abandoned or lost fishing nets found around the British Isles. We track the nets’ journey from the sea to our workshop, transforming them into beautiful, functional eco-plant pots and sustainable products with purpose.

We believe in transparency and celebrating the volunteers who help us make a difference. Together, we are cleaning our coasts and planting positivity.

Buying one of our products supports the continued work cleaning our beaches.

Ghost Net Retrieval On 23 March 2023

-------------------------

Our new Ecotribo Plant Pot (Batch 2) was made from nets found by Sea Shepherd UK in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

You can learn more about the Welsh Sea Shepherd ghost net retrieval on their Facebook page. They were contacted about a ghost net washing up on Scotch Bay in Milford Haven. Volunteer Leo staked down the net overnight, and Regional Coordinator Elkz and Leo retrieved it the following morning. The net was too heavy to carry in one piece, so it was cut into four and transported to a van.

Sea Shepherd UK is working with Ecotribolife in Bristol to recycle the net into plant pots.

This is an excellent example of how Sea Shepherd UK and Ecotribo are working to protect our oceans from marine debris. By working with volunteers and partners, we can remove ghost nets and other harmful waste from our seas. We are all one ocean working together, united in our love for the sea. This work helps to protect marine life and ensure a healthy ocean for future generations.
