Every year, millions of tons of plastic waste enter our oceans, threatening marine life and ecosystems. At Ecotribo, we believe that tackling this challenge starts with education and hands-on action. That’s why we are excited to bring our Sustainable Ocean Plastic Workshops across North Devon, engaging communities, schools, and families in meaningful ways to inspire change and hope.

What Our Workshops Involve

Our workshops are designed to be interactive and educational, focusing on the journey of ocean plastic from waste to useful product. Participants learn about the impact of plastic pollution on marine environments and how sustainability can be integrated into everyday life.

Key activities include:

• Collecting and sorting ocean plastic: We show how discarded plastics are gathered from beaches and waterways so lets do a beach clean and see what we find!

• Understanding the circular economy: We explain how materials can be reused and recycled to reduce waste.

• Hands-on eco design and engineering: Participants create their own recycled ocean plastic carabiners, a practical example of turning waste into durable, useful items.

• Discussion and reflection: We encourage conversations about personal and community actions to protect the environment.

Why Recycled Ocean Plastic Matters
