Our eco workshops in North Devon & around the UK bring people together to explore plastic pollution, discover recycling and experience how discarded marine waste can become something useful again through eco design, engineering, marine conservation and a little love.

From beach to product, we show the journey of ocean plastic.
Participants can discover how fishing nets, ropes and other marine waste are collected, sorted and transformed through recycling and sustainable design.

Our school eco workshops and sustainability workshops are designed to make environmental education practical, engaging and memorable. Our Process:
From problem to positivity
1. Coastal Beach Cleans
We collaborate with clean-up crews and coastal initiatives across the South West and UK coastline. Materials are carefully gathered to ensure minimal additional environmental disruption. Then we take that waste and reimagine it right on the beach or in the classroom talking about sustainability, engineering, design and how we can all be a part of the change we need to see.
2. Sorting & Polymer Identification
Ocean plastic is complex. Different polymer types must be separated to optimimum manufacture.
We use digital scanners to ensure that we separate and process all our ocean plastics correctly and efficiently. This often means hand sorting to prevent contamination of polymers and ultimately ensures a strong, robust and fully circular material. We get kids to get involved and learn about materials, the differences and how to separate and why its impoprtant.
3. Cleaning & Shredding
Recovered plastics are cleaned to remove salt, sand and contaminants before being shredded into manageable injectable flakes. We have a small hand granulator that kids can get involved and help transform the waste into wonder. The look on their faces as they see it reimagined inspires us to share our message of hope and resilence.
4. Moulding & Manufacturing
We transform recycled ocean plastic and ghost gear plastic into durable carabiners to demonstrate a small product that is possible to make using beach plastic found on the coast. We believe in action and demonstrating the possiblities is the best way to inspire long term change.
5. Inspired
We believe we create change through doing. When we see the look on peoples faces as the waste they have just found is transformed they start to see the possibilities and how they may find their place in the line up. There are so many roles people can take to help create the change we need to see.
